A salvage crew does not work from a holo map. It works from this: the crater drawn in pencil on the back of a manifest, the fallen section sketched in, the cutting zones shaded, and the Consortium’s survey line marked where the crew found its pegs one morning. The crater rim, the main section of the fallen Ring lying across it, four cutting zones in the order the crew meant to take them, the camp and the truck park, and a dotted line along the eastern rim with a note: ‘Their pegs. Tuesday.’ The permit number in the corner is the one Wekesa signed.
The map is the League’s whole case for the field in one sheet. The Consortium’s case is a registered survey line and Article 4. Both are in this archive.
